A Shoveller pair.

The Shoveller breeds mainly on Eskilsø and sporadically in smaller numbers on Øksneholm and one or two other islets. It was first recorded in 1985. Since then the population has been very variable, with a maximum of 30 pairs. In the autumn it is found in widely varying numbers, with a maximum of fewer than 400. From around the turn of the century the autumn population has increased. It is not seen in January.
